Seattle based act CYSTIC play an addictive blend of old-school death metal with grind and black metal influences, sometimes veering into ritualistic war metal thanks to the tight drumming from Jullian Rhea of MORTIFERUM and FETID (who has played live with UNDERGANG and HYPERDONTIA). Apparently recorded somewhere called “The Chunk Tunnel,” this debut album titled “Sworn Enemy Of Life” comes to us from Blasphlegmy Records. An impressive debut from a band that, according to their Discogs page, promotes “nothing but crime and violence.”
