Emerging from out of nowhere, FINAL RESTING PLACE is a hardcore-inspired brutal death metal project featuring members of SANCTION, SIMILAKRA, and VOMIT FORTH whose 2024 EP Prelude To Extinction appeared on streaming with an intentionally false 1995 release date. Initially only available on CD, Prelude To Extinction is now finally on 12” vinyl from DAZE with an etching of a new band logo on the B-side. Inspired by 90’s New York death metal in both sound and visual aesthetic, Prelude To Extinction is groovy, aggressive, and mosh-pit ready, complete with a distinct trash-can snare, chunky death metal production, and fist-pumping breakdowns.
