What more can be said about death metal madmen MORTICIAN? The horror samples, the guttural grunting and lo-fi static bass from Will Rahmer – it’s all here on "Mortal Massacre", the 1993 compilation of the band’s earliest material. Originally released on CD from Relapse Records, this double LP features all tracks from the “Mortal Massacre” and “Brutally Mutilated” seven-inches – the latter being the band’s most punky material and the last recording with drummer Matt Sicher (RIP) before Roger Beaujard took up the drum machine. This is followed by early live recordings of classic songs that would appear on their first full-length, including “Bloodcraving” and “Hacked Up For Barbecue.” A true piece of history!
