After a short demo and a split with ABYSSAL, UK blackened death metal band CARCINOMA released their full-length debut “Labascation” in 2021, spanning eight winding tracks that draw influence from sludge and doom with hardcore-like vocals. Spiraling tremolo guitars create a dissonant wall of noise which, according to the band, represents “themes of hatred, rage, fear, dying, death, loss, misery, hopelessness, worthlessness and the desire to escape from it all.” Brutal and hallucinatory, “Labascation” is available here on “Putrid Green” vinyl from Total Dissonance Worship.
