Convulse – World Without God (1991)

Originally pressed on 1000 copies of black vinyl from Thrash Records (which only existed between 1989 and 1993), "World Without God" has become a classic of Finnish death metal from the sick minds in CONVULSE. Their first full-length LP is dismal and ominous – truly deserving of the ghostly album art, painted in the nineteenth century by Caspar Friedrich. Infinitely replayable and sometimes rocky with a drum-forward mix, this release is an old school death metal essential.
