Spanish dissonant atmospheric death metal band ALTARAGE makes genuinely anxiety and fear-inducing musical aberrations, and Sol Corrupto is no exception. Claustrophobic and positively torturous (especially the nine-minute track “Masochist”), this release could initially only be heard on one of 500 vinyl LPs produced by Throne Records. Mixing elements of noise, drone, and dark ambient, ALTARAGE is purely malevolent, mind-melting music.
