Released by Dark Descent Records and Me Saco Un Ojo, this 12” is a compilation of MALIGNANT ALTAR’s first two demos, “Ceremonial Decapitator” and “Retribution Of Jealous Gods.” Even on their demos, this Houston band was leagues ahead of their contemporaries, creating groovy and intensely heavy down-tuned death metal that would draw an international following. Although it appears on the B-side on this 12”, the “Ceremonial Decapitator” demo was released first and includes a lo-fi live recording of the title track alongside a CELTIC FROST cover, making this 12” a unique piece of history.
